No need to go all the way to Brasil to have dreamy and strong wind conditions!

First of all, kiting in Mexico means warm weather and warm water. In Progreso you will find some shallow and quite flat water to learn and progress. Also the wind is quite constant. From the month of May to August there is a thermal that enters in the afternoon almost everyday with winds of 18 to 25 knots. November to March, there are the north winds and the south winds. The north winds are usually quite strongs and can reach up to 30 knots until February, then the south winds come before the thermal months, and we can enjoy la Ria de Chelem, a mangrove spot with flat water only. Progreso has an average of 300 days of wind a year. On the lowest months, September and October, there is a lot less strong wind but can still manage to kite a few times monthly with bigger kites.

Also just like in Cumbuco, Brasil, we have many secret flat spots and many downwinders that can be organized and customized from Telchac in the beautiful esmeralda coast until Sisal!!

As for the covid situation, the state of Yucatan is very careful and follows all the hygiene security rules implemented by the governement; temperature taken before entering premises, antibacterial gel everywhere and the use of the mask is mandatory in the streets and shops or restaurants. You will feel secure, and then happy and priviledge to enjoy such a paradise in what can be of more difficult times worldwide.
