What to do in Progreso, Yucatan, if there is a no wind day?!

With its 300 windy days yearly, the chances that you fall on a no wind day are very low, but might happen! If it does, no worries! Yucatan is a magic place with a lot to discover!!

One of my favorite is definitely the pueblo magico of Izamal. You can actually climb the pyramid Maya, and visit such a charming yellow village in a horse carriage. Yes yellow, everything is yellow and so beautiful! You can also eat the best traditional food at the restaurant Kinich. 5 stars rated, and on my part a 10 stars rating! I definitely recommend it!

Uxmal and the Choco story, are a must go too!

Less crowded than Chichen Itza, surrounded with many cenotes, i will get back to those in a bit, Uxmal is a beautiful archeological site to discover, and just accross the street from it, you can visit the chocolate story of Mexico, and discover many interesting facts about how Mexico is an awesome chocolate producer! Definitely try the chocolate beverage they sell near the entrance, so yummy!!

Yucatan is home to most of the cenotes in Mexico. Have you heard about the meteorite of Chicxulub? The one that extincted the dinosaurs? Well, it is believed that the meteorite is the main cause of the

appearance of the cenotes in the area. If you look at a map of earth, you can actually see the circle of the meteorite, and see the ring of cenotes that is such a special fenomenon in the region.

One of my favorite is Yaal Utzil, you can swim in its beautiful clear green water, and refresh yourself discovering the beauty of the cenote and all its magic, and then enjoy a nice lunch that the family that live there, can pepare for you at such a great economical price! Cost of entrance to cenote is 60 pesos (3$) per person, and you can eat like a king or queen for 100 pesos. (5$)

Yucatan is a very safe place to travel, you can rent a car, put; cenotes or archeological zones in google map, and have so much fun discovering all the hidden jewels it has to offer!
